Spring League volleyball is offered to players from Grade K-8.  It is a low competitive league aimed at providing an environment condusive to learning and enjoyment of the game. 

SPRING LEAGUE TRYOUTS

We are happy to introduce a new program for grades K-3 to get an introduction to volleyball.  In addition, we are hosting tryouts for spring league teams for grades 4-8.  See details and forms below. 

Grade K-3

·         Season is 6 weeks long
·         Practice once a week, Mondays 4:45-5:30 p.m. at Academy
·         45 minutes per practice
·         Week of April 8- May 19
·         Cost $30 per player
·         Includes “lite” volleyball & jersey
·         Instruction by high school coach and players
·         Fun introduction to the sport of volleyball

Grades 4-8 General Information

·         Season is approximately 8 weeks long
·         Practice twice a week
·         1.5 hours each practice
·         Week of Mar 25-May 19
·         Cost $95 per player
·         Includes jersey, spandex & 4 tournaments  

Grades 4-6 -  Specific Information
 

·         Teams divided evenly based on skill
·         4th & 5th combined/ 6th grade separate
·         Good training of basic skills for beginning players
·         Parent Meeting Thursday, March 1st @ 6:00 at RFHS
·         Evaluations from 6:30-8:30 on March 1st to evenly place players - Tryouts will be in the River Falls High School Gym
·         Coaches will contact teams by Sunday, March 4th  
 

Grades 7-8 - Specific Information

·         Teams divided by ability within the grade
·         Skill building with an introduction to game strategy
·         Parent Meeting Monday, March 5th @ 6:00 at RFHS
·         Try Outs from 6:30-8:30 on March 5th to evaluate players- Tryouts will be in the River Falls High School Gym
·         Coaches will contact teams by Thursday, March 8th

Early registration is encouraged by February 28th to ensure a smooth process on evaluation night. If you do not pre-register, please arrive by 5:30 on your designated date.
